Following the successful planning application to extend an existing 1950's detached house, we designed a complete new build which had to have the same form and materials as the existing due to heavy planning requirements. By building a new house, the client wanted to bring the building to higher energy efficient levels with the use of improved insulation and ventilation. The whole ground floor was re-designed to include a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area opening onto the large garden with glass sliding doors.
